Morgan’s Catio

We all love our animals!

The kittens that live here have a special mom. We built this beautiful catio together, out of wood that was milled from their own property (lovely fir)!

It includes a cat run, for easy in & out of the house, a big bench that holds the litter boxes underneath. It’s encased in leftover metal roofing to keep any sideways rain out. The bench is surprisingly comfy, and makes a great spot to hang out on a rainy day and enjoy a hot drink (or a cool down from working on the property). There’s a shelf above the bench, so the cats can sit up high, and a pretty fun cat tree!

We boxed in the heat pump to keep the cats out of trouble, and added a door to that space for easy access for maintenance.

It was a really fun project, we were lucky to have nothing but sun and warm fall days while building, and the kittens have moved in and LOVE it! For the parents it’s peace of mind that they can go outside even at night and be safe from predators (and whatever other trouble they could get themselves into).
